Mercury Outboard Complete Replacement Lower Unit V6 3.0L 200-250 HP 1.75R 25" CR
This is a replacement for V6 3.0 liter 200-250 HP counter rotation Mercury outboard lower units with a 1.75 gear ratio, a 13 spline 25" drive shaft, and a 15 spline prop shaft. This is a non-ratcheting clutch design and the gearcase has dual (side and low) water inlets. This is a brand new unit manufactured by SEI and it comes with a 3 year no-fault warranty.

General Information
SEI Marine Products uses FedEx Ground, FedEx 2-Day, and FedEx Priority Overnight for orders within the United States. Extra charges apply to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Guam and SP.
Combine orders and save on shipping! For all Domestic and International customers, please request an invoice at check out if you are ordering multiple items. Due to different items with different weights, we ask that you request an invoice for the correct shipping total. You will receive an invoice via eBay after items are combined with the correct total.
Multiple items may arrive in separate packages. All shipments will have a tracking number emailed to the email address that you have provided us and will be traceable through the shipping company's web site. Domestic Shipping
Alaska and Hawaii customers, your items will ship out via FedEx 2-Day. Please inquire before purchasing on rates and transit times.

International Shipping
We ship items internationally via FedEx International Economy. Please request an invoice at check-out so that we can select the correct shipping amount and method. If for some reason there is a miscalculation in the shipping cost we will have to collect the money via paypal before the item(s) are shipped out.
SEI Marine Products will not be fraudulent on any customs forms, so please do not ask. We only put the true value of the items in the box. We do not pay for any international customs fees or duties.
We cannot issue return call tags for international customers. Please ensure you are purchasing the correct items before completing your check out . All returned items for international customers will be shipped at the customers expense. If you have purchased the wrong item and need to return you will not be refunded your original shipping money.
If a package is returned to us for non-receipt, you will be refunded minus the shipping costs. If you would like the package resent to you, there will be another shipping charge.

High altitude gear ratio 1.87:1 is not available for SEI 216 units.
SEI 216 is standard rotation. SEI 218 is counter rotation.
When replacing a gearcase which has eight driveshaft splines, a two piece driveshaft must be used. The SEI unit will not come with the upper driveshaft or coupler. The OEM part numbers for eight spline upper driveshaft kits are:
45-824114A 1 -------- 20” model
45-823901A 1--------- 25” model
45-824115A 1--------- 30” model
All SEI 216/218 gearcase models have dual-water pickups.
SEI units come with a water tube coupling which is compatible with engine serial numbers 0G438000 and up. When replacing an OEM unit with serial 0G437999 and lower, the original water tube coupling must be reused, or a new one must be purchased. The OEM part number is 816597A1. The SEI part number is 96-116-12K.
All SEI gearcases are shipped without gear lube.
SEI 216/218 series gearcases are not designed to replace Sport Master, Torque Master, or other high performance gearcases.
Call SEI for application assistance if needed. Have the engine serial number ready.
Anodes and trim tab are not included.
If you are not sure whether you are replacing a unit on a 2.0,2.4 or 2.5 liter V6 (SEI 206) or a 3.0 liter V6 (SEI 216), the easiest way to tell the difference is by the material that the water pump is made out of. See the picture below for help in determining what type of Mercury V6 gearcase you are replacing.
Counter Rotation Identification
If you have a twin engine boat, you may have a counter rotation unit on the port side. The easiest way is to confirm that is to look at the prop. If the direction of the blades are the same on both props then they are both standard rotation. If the direction of the blades are different then you have a counter rotation on the port side.
If you currently have two standard rotation drives you can upgrade the port side to be counter rotating. There are a couple of modifications you will need to make.
The first change will be changing the throw of the port shifter at the helm. You will need to remove the remote control to do this. If you are uncomfortable doing this, then seek the help of a qualified mechanic. The other change you will need to make is getting a prop that is the opposite rotation. If you are lucky you can buy the exact same prop, only LH rotation. If they do not make it, you will need to buy two new props, one LH and one RH. You don't want to put two different style props on the boat.
